The King's Choice

Before I started online writing, I used to write in 200 paged exercise books and let my friends have a read, back in primary and secondary school.

Here they are

The series was titled "The Covenant of Cross" and it was something I buried my self into to deal with the tragedy that was, high school.

The first online writing I ever did was "The King's Choice" which was just a sample ending to "The Covenant of Cross." Since it was my first attempt, most of it is badly written, bad grammar, bad spelling and surprisingly some mature content (not that bad though). I blame my addiction to mills & boons at that time.

At that time, there was a nationwide fascination with Korean Drama, hence the skin I used on Bebo.

The Blurb went something like this:

Ellen, Daphne, Gabriel and Mary were chosen to assist the King of the magic realm(Roger Philips 1

in choosing his bride in order for him to have a succeeder. Things get interesting when Mary's(who once was romantically involved with King Philips) love for Roger begins to resurface. Ellen, Daphne and Gabbe are aware of this and try to bring the king and his true love together.By the way, this is really original work. I like writing a series of books called the covenant of cross and most of my freinds read it. The Covenant Of Cross is made up of four mortal witches(Being of magickal and mortal descent.This mortal witches are Ellen jONES,(Dark Brown eyes, short black hair,tall and just a little plum),Daphne Felroy(Grey eyes,Reddish Black hair, tall and skinny), Gabriel Zeta-Jones (Light scottish brown eyes, Blonde hair and Marylane Mcneo (Blue eyes, brown hair)
I haven't finished yet though, I just like to thnk my fans 4 their support, they're the ones that keep me writing. Mwah!!

The Invitation

	"I've got him!!" Ellen shouted pouncing on the demon. "I've got the demon!" "Do I look like a bloody demon to you?" came Mary's annoyed voice from beneath her. "Erm..sorry..i thought you were..."Ellen got off Mary guiltily."Sorry" "He's gone into the basement," Daphne said as she and Gabbe ran into the kitchen with Mary and Ellen at their heels. They crept slowly down the stairs of the Felroy's mannor(Daphne's home) into the dark basement. "Light please," asked Daphne. Mary snapped her fingers as a fire ball inflamed into her palm. Mary possesed the power of fire. Gabbe shivered a bit when she thought she saw shadows run across the walls. She quickly put on a tough look when Daphne glanced back at her. "He's in here somewhere," said Daphne. Everyone suddenly tensed as a tin clattered to the floor near by. "ahh!"Gabbe felt a cold hand shove her back onto the wall. "I've got him!"Mary shouted and threw the fire blast at the demon. The demon dodged as the fire blast hit the oil tank. Everyone jumped for cover as it blew up sending debris all over the basement. Everyone got up coughing and glanced up to see the living room ceiling. "Dad's gonna kill me," Daphne muttered. "Now I'm really pissed." "There he is!" Gabbe pointed at the demon who was staggering to the door. "He's injured," Ellen said. Gabbe outstretched her hands sending the door to close. Gabbe possessed the power of telekinesis and levitation. The demon spun around narrowing his red eyes. He threw electric blasts which the mortal witches dodged easily. Ellen turned invisible and tackled the demon. "Say the spell1" she shouted whilst tryin to hold the demon down. "Son of hell You shall Return In hades to dwell and forever to burn" Daphne chanted. Ellen jumped away her invisibility wearing off as hell opened beneath the demon and swallowed the demon in before closing again to Daphne's living room floor. "Well, that was easy," Gabbe sighed. Everyone glared at her. "Okay....maybe it wasn't so easy." "Another demon banished," Olyander (the covenant's guardian) appeared.She held out a parchment triumphantly. "TA DA!" "What's that supposed to be?" Mary asked. "Four tickets to Disney Land?" "Disney Land?" Olyander asked puzzled. Oly is a being known as an enchantress from the world of magick. She has the role of being guardian to ellen, daphne, marylane(aka mary) and gabriel(aka gabbe).Beings from the world of magick have very little knowledge of the mortal world(the earth)."No not to Disney Land although that world sounds fascinating. King Roger is trying to find a bride and all those who wish to be the future queen of the magic realm will be interviewed by him." Oly waited for the four girls to attatch their lower jaws back up and continued. "He wishes for you for to assist him in selecting a queen." "Roger's getting married?" Mary asked her mind suddenly racing. Although Mary and Roger had been broken up one year ago, Mary was still not over him. Okay, yes she did pretend to be over him. But she still loved him. She had only left him because of his status as king in the world of magick.He was their previous guardian but handed over the role to Oly after being crowned king. He was way out of her league and he deserved someone way better than her. She sighed. By why did it still hurt like hell? "He's just 18," Gabbe objected. Gabbe, not to mention ellen and daphne had secretly wished that roger and mary would get back together again."He can't be getting married." "The year of marriage in our world is 16 ,Gabbe," Oly said. "And, the King needs a successor. Someone to take the throne after he steps down." "Tell him we'll be there," said Daphne. "We will always be there for him." "I might have to pass on that," said Mary clearing her voice. "I uh...have some school work to do and all...I'm sure Daphne, Gabbe and Ellen would select a wonderful bride for him." "No way, you have to come!" Ellen quickly objected. "Roger wants all of us to come," said Daphne. "We can't get him a good wife without you," Said Gabbe. "And besides, if you don't go," Daphne began mischievously. "That might give Roger an impression that maybe..you know.. you don't want him to get married? That um..you still have feelings for him." "I do not," Mary objected. "Great, then it's settled, you're coming!" Gabbe said beaming. Mary rolled her eyes and sighed. "Fine," She said. The living room door opened as Mr.Felroy and Daphne's six siblings Lavender, Tamara, Janette, Allysaa, Natalie and Raymond jnr entered. "Daphne I'm hoo...mme," he glance at the hole in the living room floor which showed the basement. "Umm.. did I miss something?" "Awww... maaaan," Daphne groaned. "I know.. i know.. I'm grounded but dad i really need to go to the magick realm. Duty calls." Mr.Felroy sighed. "Only if you fix this before your mother gets home," he said. "Coz that's when you should really be worried."
